Chris Williams, Head of School
Mrs. Warren serves as Assistant Headmaster and teaches Physics, Algebra III, Honors Algebra II, Senior Math, and Calculus. She is a graduate from Mississippi State University with a Bachelor and Master Degree in Engineering, and she also holds Administration Certification from Delta State University. She began teaching at PCA in 2001. Her three children are PCA alumni, and her husband, Terry, has previously served on the Board of Directors. She has two daughter-in-laws and one granddaughter.
Mrs. McClain serves as Guidance Counselor, and she has over 34 years of experience in education. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Education and a Master of Education in Guidance Counseling from Mississippi College. Her husband, Mike, is an engineer, and they have been married for 34 years and have three children.
Mrs. Arias is a 1991 graduate of Porter's Chapel, and she has served as Financial Director for 13 years. Mrs. Arias is married to Al, and they have two sons, Jake, who attends PCA, and Josh, who graduated from Porter's Chapel and now is a student at Mississippi State.
Mrs. Fumbanks teaches Pre-Kindergarten at Porter's Chapel. She is a Hinds Nursing and Allied Health graduate, and she holds MAIS Pre-K Certification. She is married to her husband, Louis Fumbanks, and they have one daughter, Anna Fumbanks White.
Coach Chandler Ellis teaches Kindergarten at Porter's Chapel Academy and is a graduate of Mississippi Valley State University in Early Childhood Education. She is also the fast pitch softball coach.
Mrs. Pace is a 36 year veteran in the classroom, and she has been teaching at PCA since 2014. Mrs. Pace has a Bachelor of Arts Degree and a Masters Degree in Education from Ole Miss and Mississippi College, respectively. She also holds an Educational Specialist Degree from MC. Her husband, Jack Pace, is a former educator of 31 years, and she enjoys church membership at Redwood United Methodist Church, the outdoors, cooking, sewing, reading, and spending time with her pets in her spare time.
Mrs. Shannon Barnard is our third grade teacher and an alumni of the class of 1997, and she graduated from Delta State University with a degree in Family and Consumer Sciences. She also played basketball, softball, track, and cheerleading for Delta State. She comes to PCA with over 15 years of experience with Southside Christian School and the Vicksburg Warren School District. She is the wife of Chris Barnard and the mother of Chloe (12) and Blake (9).
Mrs. Westerfield has been teaching for 21 years. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education from the University of Southern Maine. She has a husband, Billy, who is a retired coach and educator, and she has two grandchildren. This is her first year at PCA.
Carrie Martin teaches 6th grade at Porter's Chapel. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Sociology from Lake Superior State University. She is married to David Martin, a retired Coast Guard Chief, and they have two boys, Peyton and Isaac.
Mrs. Poe is a 37 year veteran in the field of education, and she is the librarian. She began teaching at PCA in 2012. She graduated from Belhaven University and Northeast Louisiana University with Bachelor and Master of Science Degrees in Education, respectively. She is married to Will Poe, and has 3 children.
Mrs. Grant has a Bachelor of Science Degree with a minor in Education and a Master's Degree in Elementary Education from Mississippi College. She has over 38 years of experience, and this is her first year at PCA. Her subject areas include: Art I, II, and III. Mrs. Grant is married to Lee, and they have one son, one daughter, and two grandchildren.
Mr. McGee holds Bachelor and Master of Arts Degrees form Cal. State University in Fullerton, Master of Arts Degree from Talbot School of Theology, and a Master of Divinity from Cranmer Theological House. He has been teaching for 14 years, and he has been with PCA since 2014. Mr. McGee has two children who attend PCA. Mr. McGee teaches Bible, World Views, and World History.
Mr. Crabtree is a 2014 alumnus of PCA, and he teaches Geometry, Honors Geometry, Algebra III, and ACT Prep. Mr. Crabtree also serves as an Assistant Administrator. He holds a Bachelor Degree in Mathematics from Mississippi College and a Master of Education in Education Leadership from Liberty University. He also serves as Organist of First Baptist Church of Vicksburg.
Mrs. Liz Gullett teaches Pre-Algebra and Algebra (Honors) at PCA. She is an alumna
Mrs. Tolbert teaches English 8, English I, II, and III (Honors). She is a graduate of Delta State University in English Education, and she is married to Eric. They have a daughter Evelyn (4), who is in K4 at PCA.
Mr. Purvis is a 2006 graduate of PCA, and he currently serves as Athletic Director, Head Football Coach, Track/Field Coach, and Health Teacher. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from Mississippi State and a Master of Science Degree from West Texas A&M. He began teaching/coaching at PCA in 2016. He is married to his wife, Shelby, and they have a daughter, Leighton Caroline.
Mrs. Warren teaches Chemistry I and II, Honors Algebra II and Algebra II, Physics, and Calculus. She also serves as an assistant administrator. She is a graduate from Mississippi State University with a Bachelor and Master Degree in Engineering, and she also holds Administration Certification from Delta State University. She began teaching at PCA in 2001. Her three children are PCA alumni, and is married to Terry. She has two daughter-in-laws and two granddaughters.
Mrs. Clark is a 32 year veteran of the classroom. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Educational Psychology from Mississippi State, and she has graduate hours from Southern Miss, Alcorn State, Ole Miss, and Texas A&M. She is certified in Biology, Physical Science, English, Social Studies, and K-8 Special Education.
Mr. Angel teaches 7th/8th grade Science at PCA, and he holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Management from Delta State University (GO OKRA!!!). He began teaching in 2016, and he is married to Kay Angel, PCA's third grade teacher.
Mrs. Baker is a 50 year veteran of the classroom, and she began teaching at PCA in 1997. She holds a B.S. in Education (Spanish) from Mississippi State University, a Masters of Science in Secondary Education from Alcorn State University, and is a graduate of the MAIS Leadership Institute. Her classes consist of Government, Civics, and Spanish I and II. She is married to Buddy and has three kids and 3 grandchildren.
